Hey There!
Hello! My name is Erika and I am part owner of Ana Patricia Boutique. I haven't introduced myself for quite some time so I wanted to take a few minutes and tell you a little bit about myself!
1: As a child I grew up as a town kid. Currently we live on a small acreage (not on gravel, because that gives me anxiety) and never in my wildest dreams would I have pictured myself loving chickens & goats. There is something about "farm" life that brings peace to my life.
2. My husband and I have 4 kids. Yep, 4! They keep us busy with their school activities and sports but we wouldn't have it any other way. Nights are few and far between that we don't have something going on. I hate to admit it but very rarely are we all home at the same time to eat supper. Let' be honest, there are a lot of nights where supper isn't even made. Whoops, bad mom. Nope, just a mom who doesn't want to miss out on activities so the kids might have to just eat cereal a few nights a week.
3. Jesus is my Jam. Without the Grace of God I would not be where I am today. He is my strength, my rock, my comforter, and my hope. I don't always make it to church on Sunday mornings (did you read the 4 kids above) but my relationship with God isn't defined by Sunday mornings. You can find me belting out songs in the car, praying in the bathtub, doing an online bible reading or jamming out in the kitchen.
4. Why? What is my why for owning a boutique? Honestly, my why started out because it was something I could do and still take my kids to work with me when they weren't in school yet. The business wasn't what it is today but I also didn't put forth the work like I do today. It got me out of the house and let's face it, a mom of 4 NEEDS out of the house! My "why" today has changed. Owning a boutique for me isn't getting all the pretty things in and trying to sell them. Owning a boutique is changing the lives of the women who wear APB. It is connecting with them on a deeper level than clothes. It is making them see that being "pretty" starts with a pretty heart. The clothes just help bring out the confidence they either lack or need boosted. My "why" is simply the feeling I get when someone walks out of Ana Patricia Boutique feeling confident than ever in their own skin.
XOXO, E
